Sofa Hunting

Today we went looking for our sofa that we would be using in our music video. We needed something cheap and good looking, that could fit in the back of a van.
We started sofa shopping at Rio in Ottery St Mary seeing what we could find.

So we arrived at Rio with the intention of just getting an idea for what we wanted for our music video remembering style and price. We were looking something quite old and rough to give it more character rather than your bland brown cotton sofa your Grandma has in her living room. We wanted something that would fit into an indie rock genre.

So we began to look around the furniture section of the sight looking for anything that caught our attention.

We realised that here the sofas were a bit pricey with the Black one above costing £65, which is way over our budget. So we started to look around at some other smaller alternatives and spotted this cream and blue armchair in the back of the store. Its £5 however Jack and I immediately looked at each other and agreed that it wasn't something that we were interested in as like I said before it looks like your stereotypical Grandmas chair which would ruin the genre of our music video.

 

 In the end we left with a better idea for what we were looking for, for our main prop in the music video. We are now going to look elsewhere for cheaper, larger and more genre related alternatives.
