Further Inspiration

So we have had plenty of time for our idea to develop more. We have come up with many new ideas about what we think we should have  in our music video. We have thought of new visual effects and locations that we could use our sofa idea in.

One of our new ideas is to have a white outline to edge of our actors and sofa in a few frames of the music video as if someone has drawn over the top of them with a white pen.

 

I took inspiration from this idea from some of Disclosures Album artwork. As you can see they have gone over their faces with a white pen like effect. This helps certain features stand out to the audience like in this case the Eyes, nose, mouth and Jaw. This effect also helps hide the artists identity in this particular image making them mysterious as we cant see their entire face. 

If we tried this effect but did it with a  moving image with each individual frame drawn on then we could achieve a shake effect like the sequence was animated even though its just a series of individual clips with messy drawings on them. 

 

We also had an idea that included towing the sofa very slowly behind a moving vehicle on an empty road whilst having people sitting on the sofa. This idea would help slow the sequences down when the music slows down. Having a longer clip that is moving at a steady pace with the music after a fast beat slows the video down and shows a steady flow which slows the video down. Of course this scene would have its risks as you are towing a sofa behind a motorized  vehicle so someone could fall off and hurt themselves.   

 

We also had the idea which you might of seen before on my blog on my Pinterest post that we could use famous sets from well known American Television programs to keep the audience guessing and relating to the music video. Most people in our target audience (teenagers and young adults) will have heard of Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory and Defiantly the Simpsons. 

If they known these programs then they will most likely be familiar with the main sets of the Programs being the Living rooms with the Couch in the middle as the Americans call it. If we included these references we would be making our music video Post Modern as we are including Inter textual language from previous texts. The audiences would be able to react to these texts within the video and relate to them thinking "Ohhh I know that one!" and then on.
