Risk Assessment

During the filming we will probably encounter a number of risks that we will need to account for before we start. So these risks can be in general or they could be about certain locations and shots that could bring up unique and individual risks.
For example if we are filming next to a road we will need to be careful about moving cars and the distance from the road that we are. We would then avoid this risk by keeping a good distance away from  the road and wear bright clothing so drivers can see us from further distances more easily.

Risk 1: Moving and dropping the sofa
Problem: Sofa could be heavy to carry for one person and could be dropped if its to heavy which could injure the user.

Solution: Have two people carry the sofa in a comfortable fashion so there is less chance of the sofa being dropped.






Risk 2: Burning and putting out flames on the sofa
Problem: In one of the shots that we have we are going to have a sofa that is lit up in flames. This is a fire hazard which risks burning the environment surrounding the object and those around it.
Solution: Be very cautious around the sofa when its on fire and think about where abouts the flames are going to go depending on where its placed.










Risk 3: Filming next o a river
Problem: At any time when filming near water the camera and other equipment could suffer from water damage.
Solution: Keep equipment out of reach from water. When filming next to or in a river wear straps around the equipment so even if they are dropped they wont get wet.










Risk 4: When people jump on to the sofa at the same time during one shot they could clash and injure themselves.
Problem: When fast movement's are carried out in any confined space you risk injuring those involved either by hitting each other by accident or by injuring themselves.
Solution: Make sure movement is well choreographed and rehearsed carefully so movement can be done without injury's taking place.










Risk 5: Getting hit by a car
Problem: When filming next to a road participants will be vulnerable to fast moving cars nearby which if not treated correctly could end up in a fatal accident.
Solution: Avoid filming near roads or around moving Cars to reduce risk unless absolutely necessary.

Risk 6: Wheels on the sofa
Problem: Adding wheels onto the bottom of the sofa could cause it to roll away into someone or something causing injury or damage to property.
Solution: Make sure that the sofa cant free roll without being picked up. That way it can only move if human force is applied.
