Key clips we need to use carefully

During our music video we have a few ideas for certain shots which we really want to use.  These shots will take key parts of our music video marking out different parts of the song e.g. Beginning, rise, fall and end. Some of these clips can be really unique and reference to other texts (being postmodern). An example of one of these Texts that we can link back to would be our American family Cartoon sofa scenes were we are going to green screen our sofa into the place where the "couch" usually is in these iconic shots like in The Simpsons and Family Guy.

Other important scenes that we could have will be the sofa on fire to signal the end of the music video. Fire is a sign of destruction and end so it only makes sense to have it at the end of the music video. The fire could also be linked to having death at the end of the music video almost like a cremation of a being that has had a long life with many users. However due to the risk involved in setting a sofa on fire we have decided not to use this idea. Plus we don't know exactly when we've shot the last location as we are always thinking of new ideas for what we are filming.

And I personally don't see the point in burning a perfectly fine piece of furniture just for a dramatic ending.
