Weather Conditions for filming

The weather conditions for our music video depends on what shot we are shooting and where we are shooting it. As we need as many different shots as possible weather isn't really much of a problem, of course we would prefer for it not to be raining for most of our shots however we may want to mix things up a bit if our shots are all going to be different as planned. The weather conditions could also need to be different depending on the place of the song that the sequence is in. For example if its a sad part then you could have it raining and in slow motion as rain is usually shown as a code for a bad mood as rain can symbolize tears and sunshine for vice versa as it symbolizes a good mood.
 
Wind can also be a symbol of a bad mood or any kind of extreme bad weather like a storm or blizzard, which we could use for a high point of the chorus especially if its an angry song.

Mist or fog can also be symbols used to show a sinister or strange shot. As it changes the way we see things in the distance by clouding them off. As we cant see into the distance it makes us as an audience uneasy as we cant see what's coming or what's beyond the fog. As humans we use sight as our main sense and if you take that away it makes us feel uneasy. This is why most horror films are shot in the dark as it takes our main defense away from us making us exposed.

Wind could also be a big problem in our project if we are planning to use sound from the location that we are filming in. We would have to consider using a dead cat on our microphone if we are using a microphone. This will block out the noise of the wind hitting the microphone. Wind could also effect the mise en scene for whatever we are filming. For example if we were going to film in the same location over the time of two different days the conditions might be slightly different. For example it could be still on one day and incredibly windy on the next. The presence of the wind would make it obvious to the audience that we had filmed on two separate days.
