We were asked to react to this video displaying how one individual thinks visual comedy should be displayed. For one I totally agree with this video with the way he shows how comedy can be made from the simplest of things like a travel sequence and how so many films miss these visual comedy opportunity's. However I do think the guy who made this video has been slightly unfair by comparing random American comedy films with Edgar Wright it would have been better if he compared him with another director altogether so the audience could spot the difference between a good and bad director more clearly.
The video talks about how visual comedy works and how simple visual effects can be super effective when it comes to making the audience laugh. One thing that stood out to me was the repetition of the same joke at different times throughout a film or films. E.g. The broken fence joke in Simon Pegg movies.
This video helped show what simple editing techniques can do and how they can get a laugh out of the audience. It also showed how overcomplicated other films are in the way that they display jokes and how they usually use dialogue to make the audience to laugh which this video shows that this doesn't have to be the case.
